The East Tennessee Community Design Center through the Downtown Knoxville Design Studio is addressing the issue of sign litter in the central business district, especially as it relates to on-street parking controls. The study and recommendations are being under taken at the request of the Downtown Design Review Board and should be ready later this fall for publication. Other projects relative to the urban landscape including alleyways, media boxes, pedestrian wayfinding and entrance treatments for Historic Market Square can be found on the Community Design Center web site www.etcdc.org.
