Jubilee Community Arts kicks off its fall season with a special appearance by Scott Miller at The Laurel Theater, on September 11. Odds are that the only people who don’t love Scott and his music just haven’t met or heard him yet. He’s cute. He writes some of the most moving and powerful songs you’re apt to hear. And even though you could pop a softball from one parking lot to the other, The Laurel is worlds away from the old Hawkeye’s, where Miller stropped his razor wit on too-loud-talking collegiate types. Hearing acoustic music in that sweet old sanctuary on Laurel is like listening to guitars inside a guitar.
